Act of Kindness: A Puppet Show for a Friend in the Hospital

We recently heard that a friend was going to be going through surgery and we decided to do an act of kindness for our friend in the hospital.  We’ve been in long hospital stays before and know how welcome a care package can be.  We wanted to put together a little something for one of our young friends who would be in the hospital.  The boys wanted to put together a puppet show for the care package.

  • They made “characters” . . . very simple drawing on paper.
  • They cut then out.
  • With tape and glue, the boys put them on straws and on Popsicle sticks to send along with the book that they picked out to send.

Yes, the “horse” that was drawn looked like a camel alligator.  They took this endeavor very seriously!

One of the most helpful things for me when my son was in the hospital  . . . easy crafty things that could help pass the time.
